H.O.M.E. has its first Sod Day!

The inaugural Sod Day was held Friday, March 27th, at H.O.M.E.'s second completed project, located at 2082 41st Terrace SW.

Landscaping professionals lent their expertise in guiding the volunteers through the sod laying process.  The result, a fully sodded yard, awaiting the family who will soon enjoy their new home!

Among the volunteers and attendees at Sod Day, H.O.M.E. founder John Barlow welcomed the new homeowners themselves, the Labreda's, Collier County Commissioners Jim Coletta and Frank Halas, Collier County Sheriff Kevin Rambosk, participants from Boran Craig Barber Engel Construction, Inc. and Wall Systems, Inc., (two of the general contractors who have assisted in renovating H.O.M.E. projects), and several of the H.O.M.E. Board of Directors members.

H.O.M.E., Inc. is the ultimate example of a successful public/private partnership. Many, many thanks to all the Sod Day volunteers!  We couldn't have done it without YOU!  Please stay tuned for information concerning the date and location of the next Sod Day.
